Build a Team of Champions
|

 |
Implementing a defibrillation program requires teamwork, public support, and expert guidance. Build a small but effective team by recruiting members from some of the following groups:
Emergency medical services personnel, such as the Medical Director and EMS Coordinator
The Mayor, town/city managers, or city council members
Public safety officials, such as Fire or Police Chief
Healthcare practitioners
Business leaders
Civic group leaders
Local college and school system representatives
Senior citizen organization representatives
Members of CPR training groups (e.g., American Heart Association, American Red Cross)
Members of local media (e.g., television or newspapers)
Local "celebrity"
Concerned citizens
SCA survivors and their family and friends.
Defibrillation programs also need hands-on medical guidance to ensure quality, compliance to protocols, training, and support.
